SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Chin and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Thandwe (7.95)inches, Taungkok (6.14) inches, Mudon (5.67)inches, Kyaukphyu (5.12)inches, Ngathaichaung and Kyeikkhame (4.61)inches each, Myeik (4.53)inches, Paung (4.49)inches, Kyeikmayaw (4.37)inches, Hlaingbwe (4.33)inches, Chaungsone (4.09)inches, Hpa-an(Agro-met) and Mawlamyine (4.06)inches each, Kawkaierk (3.54)inches, Putao (3.26)inches and Hainggyigyun (3.07)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong  over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and vigorous elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th July, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (10 -14)feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and about (6-9)feet in Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 6th July, 2019: One or two rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 6th July, 2019:  Some rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 6th July, 2019:  Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (80%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and scattered in Mandalay Region.
