SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Bago Region and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Southern Shan and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above May normal temperature in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Southern Shan and Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May normal temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan, Rakhine and Mon States, (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Northern Shan, Chin and Kayin States and about May normal temperature in the remaining Region and State. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (43°C) in Monywa and (42°C) each in Myinmu, Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pakokku, Gangaw, Pauk and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myeik (2.36)inches, Kyaukse (1.90)inches, Nyauntone (1.78)inches, Sagaing and Patheingyi(Shwesaryan) (1.57)inches each, Kawthaung (1.42)inches, Amarapura (1.36)inches, Singaing (1.28)inches, Taungdwingyi (1.15)inches and Heho (1.06)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th May, 2019:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Kayin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Region and State with isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
