SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past

(24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw,

Taninthayi Region, (Northern and Southern)Shan and Mon States, fairly

widespread in Bago Region and Chin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing,

Mandalay, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Eastern Shan, Kayah and Kayin

States, isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls

in Naypyitaw. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May normal temperature

in Eastern Shan State, (3°C) above May normal temperatures Magway Region

and Rakhine State, (2°C) above May normal temperatures in Bago Region,

Southern Shan and Kayah States, (2°C) below May normal temperature in

Lower Sagaing Region and about May normal temperature in the remaining

Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk

and (42°C) each in Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi and Sinbyugyun. The

noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Dawei (2.13)inches, Kyeikkhame

(2.05) inches, Naypyitaw (Pobbathiri) (1.97)inches, Yay (1.81)inches,

Zaung Tu (1.34)inches, Kawthaung (1.14)inches, Kyeikmayaw (1.10)inches,

Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (1.02)inches and Mandalay (0.94)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea

and a few cloud over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th May, 2019:  Rain or 

thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State,

fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin and Kayin States,

scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Yangon

Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Kayah States and isolated in the

remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave

height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of

rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
