BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm "FANI" over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about (230)miles East-Northeast of Chennai(India), (235)miles Southeast of Machilipatnam and (250)miles South-Southeast of Vishakhapatnam. It is forecast to move Northwestwards.Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 1st May, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States and isolated in Mandalay Region and Shan State with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of rain or thundershowers in Lower Myanmar areas.
