SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Southern Shan State, isolated in Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above April normal temperatures in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayah and Mon States, (2°C) above April normal temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan and Kayin States and about April normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk, (43°C)each in Pauk and Bawlakhae, (42°C) each in Monywa, Taungdwingyi, Ann and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Loilin (0.55)inch, Hlaingtat and Laiway (0.27)inch each, Kengtung (0.23)inch and Yamethin (0.12)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th April, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States.
