SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March normal temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Southern Shan and Chin States, (2°C) above March normal temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Northern Shan and Mon States and about March normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk, (42°C) in Bawlakhae and (41°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Taungdwingyi and Taunggu. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myawaddy (2.64)inches, Kawkareik (2.09) inches, Kya-In-Seikkyi (1.93)inches, Kyeikdon (1.08)inches, Yay (0.47)inch, Dawei (0.27)inch, Kyeikmayaw (0.24)inch and Mudon (0.20)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and generally fair elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th March, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%).Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region.
