SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain have been isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay Region, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above March normal temperatures in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and about March normal temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) in Chauk, (40°C) each in Minbu, Magway, Phyu and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kawthaung (0.47)inch and Homalin (0.08)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Central Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd March, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
