BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather will be a partly cloudy to cloudy over the  Andaman Sea and North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 4th September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine state. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago,  Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
