SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudly in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Chin, Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 7.48 inches in Kalay, 3.74 inches in Bago, 3.62 inches in Ye, 3.38 inches in Tiddim, 3.15 inches in Chaungsone, 2.99 inches in Manaung, 2.87 inches each in Mawlaik and Hinthada, 2.72 inches in Kyauktan, 2.64 inches in Mudon and 2.52 inches in Hlegu. 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather will be a few cloud over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd September 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%. 

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelyhood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States.
