SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah, Chin States, scattered in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.06 inches in Hkamti, 3.27 inches in Myitkyina, 3.00 inches in Paing Kyone, 2.84 inches in Kanggyidaunt, 2.00 inches in Pantanaw, 1.97 inches in Tatkon, 1.81 inches each in Naypyitaw(Ottarathiri) and Einme, 1.41 inches in Putao and 1.38 inches each in Naypyitaw (Dekkhinathiri) and Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri).
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th August 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Shan States.
