SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Chin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.34 inches each in Phyarpon and Thaton, 3.23 inches in Manaung, 3.19 inches in Kungyangon, 2.87 inches in Dawei, 2.64 inches in Hainggyigyun, 2.32 inches in Taunggu, 1.97 inches in Myaungmya, 1.90 inches in Dedaye, 1.81 inches in Coco Island and 1.79 inches in Kyaukpyu. 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the  Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th June 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State, scattered in (Northern and Southern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Chin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
