SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been solated in Magway Region, scattered in Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Yangon Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.04 inches in Shwebo, 2.17 inches in Thabeikkyin, 2.01 inches each in Mogok and Homalin, 1.97 inches in Mohnyin, 1.89 inches in Sittwe, 1.77 inches each in Putao and Myitkyina, 1.69 inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), 1.53 inches in Paung, 1.51 inches in Kyeikmayaw and 1.42 inches in Khayan. 

BAY INFERENCEMonsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19thJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagain Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Chin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
