SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.09 inches in Homalin, 3.85 inches in Belin, 3.74 inches in Ye, 3.46 inches in Hainggyigyun, 3.11 inches each in Hmawbi(Agro-Met) and Labutta, 2.98 inches in Hmawbi, 2.60 inches in Putao, 2.56 inches each in Thanlyin and Ngathaichaung, 2.32 inches in Hkamti and 2.20 inches in Yangon(Mingaladon). 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17thJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine, Eastern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, States.
