SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T:  During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah, Chin States, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mon, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.80 inches in Kyaukpyu, 3.43 inches in Kyeikkhame, 2.75 inches in Paung, 2.68 inches in Kalay, 2.40 inches in Coco-Island, 2.38 inches in Danubyu, 2.36 inches in Pantanaw, 2.20 inches each in Ye and Thabaung and 2.15 inches Bogale. 

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16thJune 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon.
