Bay of Bengal Condition

Southwest monsoon is likely to set in the whole country during  1^st – 5^th of June. A low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. During this period, monsoon will be moderate to strong. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Taninthayi Region and Kayah, Mon, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States.

Rainy days are expected about 8 to 10 days in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, (Southern & Eastern) Shan States and about 5 to 7 days in the Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States.
