SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing Regions and Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Chin State. Day temperatures 3°C to 4°C above May average temperatures in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State, 2°C above May average temperatures in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States and 2°C below May average temperature in Kayin State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 43.5°C in Chauk, 43.0°C in Myinmu, 42.5°C in Minbu, 41.7°C in Nyaung Oo, 41.0°C each in Pakokku and Sinbyugyun, 40.0°C in Mandalay, 39.9°C in Monywa, 39.8°C in Myingyan and 39.6°C in Magway on 22-5-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 5.16 inches in Mandalay(Aungmyaythasan), 4.84 inches in Thaton, 4.47 inches in Patheingyi, 3.66 inches in Mandalay(Chanayethasan), 2.99 inches in Shwekyin, 2.87 inches in Mudon, 2.83 inches in Kyaukpyu, 2.48 inches in Loilin, 2.24 inches in Kawthaung and 2.20 inches in Pyinoolwin(Zeepingyi).
BAY INFERENCE: Southwest monsoon has advanced into the Deltaic Myanmar areas, Southwest Bay of Bengal and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
