BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th May 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Chin, Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Kayah, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw,Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest Monsoon into the Southern Myanmar areas.
