SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain have been isolated in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below January average temperatures in Kayah, Southern Shan States and  2°C above January average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and about average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.2°C each in Hakha and Heho, 3.0°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 4.0°C each in Loilin and Mongyang, 4.5 °C in Pinlaung, 5.7°C in Tiddim, 6.4°C in Lashio, 6.7°C in Loikaw, 7.8°C in Nyaung Shwe and 8.3°C each in Pyinoolwin and Taunggyi. The noteworthy amount of rainfalls recorded was 0.12 inch in Myeik.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, a few cloud over the Central Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd January 2026: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and  Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. 
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States.
