SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin State. Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kayah, Eastern Shan States, fairly widespread in Upper Saging Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway Regions. Night temperatures were 2°C above November average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Chin States, 3°C to 4°C above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan States, 5°C above November average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 13.0°C in Tiddim, 13.8°C in Hakha, 15.2°C in Loilin, 16.7°C in Putao, 17.0°C in Taunggyi and 17.2°C in Homalin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.52 inches in Myawaddy, 2.50 inches in Pantanaw, 2.40 inches each in Khayan and Laymyethna, 2.36 inches in Okkan, 2.20 inches each in Kalay and Monywa, 2.17 inches each in Kanbalu and Kyaunggon, 2.09 inches in Bago and 1.93 inches in Kyaukse.
SPECIAL FEATURES:According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “KALMAEGI” has crossed Philippines, Northern Negros Island near Bacolod moved West-Southwest and reached over the Sulu Sea. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may reach over the West Philippines Sea.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th November 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Rain or thundershowers with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.
