BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal (off Tamil Nadu coast, India) has moved Northwestwards and crossed North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and weakened into a Low pressure area during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, yesterday’s night the Severe Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” over South China Sea downgraded into a tropical storm “FENGSHEN” has moved West-Southwestwards and is centered at about 45 Nautical miles Northeast of Da Nang (Vietnam).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Northern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.
