BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over  Southwest Bay of Bengal off north Sri Lanka coast. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over Southwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts today this evening. Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move West-Northwestwards further intensify towards North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts on 23-10-2025.  

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, yesterday’s night the Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” over South China Sea has moved West-Southwestwards and intensified into a Severe Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” It is centered at about 170 Nautical miles Northeast of Da Nang (Vietnam).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon, Easthern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Mon, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.
