BAYINFERENCE : Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “MATMO” over the South China sea has moved west-northwestwards and intensified into a Typhoon “MATMO”. Thereafter it is likely continue to move west-northwestwards and may cross into the Guangdong coastal areas of China during next 24 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 5th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and fairly widespread in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in Deltaic areas.
