BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: : According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “MATMO” crossing over the northern part of Philippines is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Typhoon “MATMO” over the South China Sea during next 12 hrs.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 4th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan, scattered in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Rakhine States and fairly widespread in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions , Chin and (Southern and Easthern) Shan States and Widespried in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfall in Taninthayi Region, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Easthern Shan State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: : Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
