BAYINFERENCE:   Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: : According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “MATMO” crossing over the northern part of Philippines is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Typhoon “MATMO” over the South China Sea on 4-10-2025.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 4th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions scattered in Yangon, Mandalay. Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Rakhine, (Northern and Easthern)Shan States and fairly widespread in Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions, Kayin, Chin and Mon States and Widespried in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfall in Naypyitaw and Bago Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine and Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: : Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 4th October 2025: Some rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 100%.
