BAYINFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression has crossed Odisha Coast close to Gopalpur and moved Northwestwards and downgraded into a Depression over South Odisha, India. It is likely continue to move Northwestwards, cross to interior parts of India and gradually weaken. Monsoon is moderate over the the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Special Features: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “MATMO” over the East Philippines sea. It is likely continue to move west-northwestwards and cross over the northern Philippines during next 6 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 3rd October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
