.BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, a Typhoon “RAGASA” over Philippines sea has moved west- Northwestwards and still persists. It is likely continue to move West.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 22ndSeptember 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine and (Northern and Southern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 35 mph. Wave height will be about 10-12 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Rakhine Coast. 
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
