BAYINFERENCE:  According to the observations at 05:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to further intensify during next 24 hrs. Thereafter, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hrs. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 3rd September 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30 mph. Wave height will be about 9-11 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon.
