BAYINFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Depression over the South China Sea has moved Northwestwards and still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a Tropical Storm during next 18 hrs and then cross to Northern Vietnam Coast around 30-8-2025.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 30th August 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Chin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway,Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 30th August 2025:   Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is 100%.
