SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region and Mon State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Southern Shan State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C above May average temperature in Kachin State, 3°C above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin, Eastern Shan States, 2°C above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern)Shan States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44.8°C in Chauk, 42.6°C in Zaung Tu, 42.5°C in Myinmu, 42.2°C in Myingyan, 41.5°C in Pakokku, 41.4°C in Pyay, 41.2°C in Magway, 41.0°C each in Aunglan and Shwebo and 40.8°C in Minbu on 9-5-2025. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.26 inches in Kawthaung, 1.18 inches in Khayan, 0.59 inch in Paung, 0.28 inch in Coco Island, 0.24 inch in Belin, 0.16 inch in Chaungsone and 0.08 inch each in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri) and Kyeikkhame.

BAYINFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th May 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, scattered in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Southern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon, Southern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest monsoon into the Southern Myanmar areas.
