SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Bago Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above March average temperature in Kachin State and (2°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Pyay and (39°C) each in Aunglan, Taunggu, Shwekyin and Laydatpyin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th March 2024: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
