SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Bago Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Northern Shan and Chin States and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Mon States and  (4°C) above January average temperature in Kayin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Kyaukmae, (3°C) each in Loilin and Pyinoolwin and (4°C) each in Heho and Mogoke.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th January 2024: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin States.
