          According to the observations at (03:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West wards and and intensified into a Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR).It is centered at about (170) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Cuddalore, about (175) Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry and about (205) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chenn‌ai (India). It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) is coded yellow stage.

          Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) is located at Latitude (10.1) degree North and Longitude (82.1) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (992) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (55)miles per hour at (03:30) hrs MST today.

          The Severe Cyclonic Storm (NIVAR) is likely to intensify into a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm during next (12)hrs and move West-Northwestwards. It is forecast to cross near Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts tonight.
