BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off South Odisha- North Andhra Pradesh coasts. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07th September, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9 -12)feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and (5-7)feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region.
