BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin State, and fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan and widespread in the remaining Ragions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin,Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 – 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (4-7) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
