SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (6.06) inches in Kyaukpyu, (5.94) inches in Maungdaw, (5.04) inches in Thandwe, (4.02) inches in Taungkok, (3.94) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (3.54) inches in Sittwe, (3.15) inches in Manaung, (2.87) inches in Machanbaw, (2.64) inches in Putao and (2.37) inches each in Mawlaik and Kawthaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 08th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and (Northern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
