SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Chin, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (7.68) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (5.59) inches in Belin, (5.39) inches in Madauk, (5.24) inches in Shwekyin, (5.00) inches in Paing Kyone, (4.29) inches in Nyaunglaybin, (4.21) inches in Hpa-an, (4.13) inches in Kamamaung, (3.46) inches in Paletwa, (3.39) inches in Kyauktaw, (3.34) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (3.22) inches in Shwegwin(Hlaingbwe), (3.19) inches in Zalun and (3.11) inches in Mawlamyine.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal had crossed to North Odisha coast. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th July, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Moderate monsoon.
