BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 16th July, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions and Northern Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough saes are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30- 35).p h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 -9)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi coasts and about (5- 7) feet  off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
