29-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards and has intensified into a Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL”. It is centered at about 680 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 160 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai and 150 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea.

Flood condition of Ayeyarwady River

   According to the (11:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Ayeyarwady River at Zalun has exceeded by about (1) foot above its danger level. It may fall below its danger level during the next (3) days.

Flood condition of Ngawun River

   According to the (11:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Ngawun River at Thabaung has exceeded by about (½) foot above its danger level. It may remain above its danger level during the next (2) days.

Advisory

   It is especially advertised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Thabaung Township to take precaution measure.
