23-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the (12:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Toe River at Maubin is observed as about (½) foot below its danger level. It may exceed its danger level in the high tide periods during the next (2) days.
It is especially advised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas at Maubin Township to take precaution measure.
