SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.45) inches in Kamamaung, (4.17) inches in Tamu, (3.03) inches in Labutta, (2.79) inches in Kalewa, (2.64) inches in Pathein, (2.36) inches in Belin, (2.24) inches in Manaung, (1.97) inches in Paungpyin, (1.81) inches in Minesat, (1.77) inches in Hmawbi and (1.70) inches each in Hkamti and Thaton.
BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Westcentral and adjoiningNorthwest Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha coasts now lies over coastal Odisha and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists.Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Seas will be moderate in Myanmarwaters. Wave height will be about (6 - 8)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
