SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (6.93) inches in Hpa-an, (6.07) inchesin Thandwe, (5.55) inches in Kamamaung, (5.07) inches in Mawlamyine, (4.69) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (4.41) inches in Kyaukpyu,(4.13) inches in Kyauktaw, (4.09) inches in Sittwe, (4.02) inches in Ye, (3.48) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (3.36) inches in Kyeikdon, (3.15) inches in Kawkareik, (3.11) inches each in Maungdaw and Mudon and (3.04) inches in Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02nd August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, MagwayRegions, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regionsand States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7 -10)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
