SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Chin, Kayin, Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (9.13) inches in Kawthaung, (4.02) inches in Paung, (3.58) inches in Myawaddy, (3.31) inches each in Monyin and Paletwa, (2.99) inches in Taungkok, (2.79) inches in Thandwe, (2.60) inches in Hpa-an, (2.48) inches in Thaton, (2.32) inches in Maungdaw and (2.13) inches in Gwa.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31th July, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -11)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 31thJuly, 2021:      One or two rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (100%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 31th July, 2021:          Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (80%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw and Yangon Region, scattered in Mandalay Region.
