SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (7.91) inches in Launglon, (5.95) inches in Dawei, (5.43) inches in Myitkyina, (4.41) inches in Ye, (3.85) inches in Kamamaung, (3.46) inches in Kyeikkhame, (3.43) inches in Bhamo, (2.99) inches in Mudon, (2.76) inches each in Ann and Myeik and(2.60) inches in Kyeikdon.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th July, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -11)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 26thJuly, 2021:      One or two rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainty is (100%).
