SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours,

rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Magway Region and Kachin State, fairly

widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Eastern Shan State and widespread i

n the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and

isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Mon State. Day temperatures were

(3°C) above May average temperature in Kayin State and (2°C) above May average

temperatures in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State, (2°C) below May average

temperatures in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State and (4°C) below

May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and about May average

temperatures in the remaining regions and states. The significant day temperatures were

(38°C) each in Tatkon and  Bawlakhae, (37°C) each in Chauk and Myawaddy. The noteworthy

amount of rainfall recorded were (4.29) inches in Chaungsone, (4.21) inches in Launglon,

(3.66) inches in Dawei, (2.40) inches in Gwa, (2.13) inches in Thaton, (2.01) inches in Pyinmana

(Walgyi), (1.73) inches in Mawlamyine, (1.65) inches in Patheingyi (Agro), (1.54) inches in

Hainggyigyun, (1.50) inches in Amarapura(Agro), (1.42) inches each in Meiktila and Myitnge

and (1.38) inches each in Sagaing and Ye.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay

of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st May, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be

scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Mandalay Regions,

Kachin, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with

isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about

(5 - 8)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in the Deltaic

areas.

or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).
