23-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the (14:30) hrs M.S.T observations today, the water level of Ngawun River at Thabaung is observed as about (4) cm below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next (1) day.
It is especially advised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying area at Thabaung Township, to take precaution measure.
