Deep Depression
According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 740 Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 300 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1001 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35 miles per hour.
It does not intend to move towards Myanmar coasts at the present stage and therefore the Deep Depression is coded as yellow stage.
Forecast
It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm tonight. Thereafter, it may cross near Sri Lanka Coast and reach to Tamil Nadu (India) during next 2 days.
Due to the Deep Depression, rain are likely to be isolated to scatted in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States from 28-11-2024 to 30-11-2024.
